January 2022

Where to start your Year – Are you at 6’s and 7’s……

Well, if you are a bit like me a person that sets resolutions this month and by, the 1st of February or even before (mine are about 2 days!!) you have already forgotten or just given up.  I have a challenge for you instead of resolutions…….

Let’s look at things differently.  I know that the new year is a new beginning but also so is every Monday or Sunday if that is when your week starts and also, therefore, every 1st of every month.   Thinking about it even the bin day for me is a new beginning the bins are clear and tidy the fridge has only what I need and can use in it.

They are all new beginnings so why not look at every day as a fresh start without the negatives of the past!  We can actually use what has happened in the past to reset and learn what worked well and what didn’t.  We are constantly learning so let us use it to our advantage. You know the saying ‘continuing to do the same and expect different results is a sign of madness or words to that effect.’

It’s true try changing just one thing and see if that helps you.  You will very quickly see if it does! If it does not then change something else it’s as simple as that! And all the time we are learning about what works well for us.

The alternative to resolutions is to spend time reflecting on what you have achieved as I said what has worked for you.  Continue with that and perhaps tweak a little bit more until you reach the goal you have set.  It’s not a race even though we all want things yesterday!  Be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey and learning experiences!

TIP:  Set up a jar and when something positive or good happens during the year write it on a piece of paper and place it in the Jar.  Then at the end of December or the beginning of the New Year, you can go through and realise that the year was full of positive stories.

Once you have done that, you can then take a few minutes to reflect on what you may do differently to achieve some goals that you did not quite get to achieve.

Goal setting is always a great way to focus the mind.  Taking action big and small will help you towards the intentions that you want to achieve.

So, as you see the resolution is just a word but by setting a goal (big or small) and using intention the words actually help the mind realise that it is something that is totally ongoing and if you don’t quite achieve at any point you have the opportunity to reflect and readjust the next step.  It is always a learning process.

My question to you for the month of January and perhaps for the next 3 months.

What are your goals?  What are the small steps you are going to take towards those goals?

For those that are wanting to have a baby and become a mum this year!

One of your goals could be to research and see what you need to do!  The three small steps could be:

  1. Download the Sole Fertility free download to get more information.  Go to www.solefertility.com
  2. Join the Sole Fertility
    Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/solefertility/
    Instagram Page https://www.instagram.com/solefertility/

by doing this you get some useful information that is put out every month.
  3. Book yourself an initial Reflexology session.
